Baby, it’s cold outside!
I don’t know where you live, but if you’re anywhere near the east coast, the midwest, or worst; northern Canada, you know that Old Man winter will make an appearance sooner than later.
Technically it’s still Fall, I don’t know how, being that my front yard has been blanketed with snow and when I see snow, it’s winter!
I will say that Chicago winters pale in comparison to Canada’s capital; here I can get away with a really good sweater and good coat. In Canada, I needed a parka, winter boots, a blanket, and fire wood… To make a fire… To keep me warm.
My goal for 2017 is to stack my coins, and I can’t stack coins by spending recklessly, so the plan is to shop on a budget.
Being that the first day of winter is quickly approaching, today, I’m sharing some of my favorite destinations for all things sweater and affordability.
I’m not sure what that creature attacking shoulder is! I want to say it’s a tiger, either way, when I laid eyes on this sweater I knew I had to have it, and at a price tag of nineteen ninety nine, your girl didn’t think twice.
In case you’re wondering where I copped it, I got it from H&M, it’s cozy, it’s warm and it’s stylish. And if you like low prices as much as I do, head to their website, they’re having a pretty incredible sale!
Uniqlo is my second go-to!
Before opening in Chicago the year before last, I had only set foot in Uniqlo once in NYC.
Then I was invited to attend the grand opening for their Michigan Ave location, and I’ve been a huge fan since. I mean they are the epitome of minimalist style, minimal is my jam!
You know what else is my jam; affordability; yeah they got that too! Link here!
Last but definitely not least: THRIFT STORES.
They may be pre-loved, but that makes them all the more cozier, aaaaaaannnnnd the chances that you’ll be running into someone rocking the same sweater are almost non-existent. The price factor is not even worth mentioning, you know what it is.
There you have it folks!
So tell me, have I left any of your favorite spots out? If so, you know to drop ’em below!
Until next time!
“For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, And do not return there without watering the earth And making it bear and sprout, And furnishing seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
