playroom

Now that our carpet issues are out of the way – it’s time to resume decorating our house and making it a home.

We completed the girl’s room and as promised a full tour will be shared soon. The next room I’m looking to tackle, and by tackle I mean decorate ( I leave all the hard work for hubby) – is the girl’s playroom.

One of my dreams has always been to have a play room for my kids to call their own. A place where they can be kids and let their imagination run wild, laugh together and create stories together.

As a child, my brother and I’s playroom was the basement. Mind you African parents didn’t make playrooms for us per se. We just happened to play in whatever room we could play in,  but boy oh boy was it fun. With our imagination, we would go on some the best adventures ( I will keep them to myself as I don’t want to embarrass my brothers, they are grown men now ) LOL.

When it comes to the girls, I have a few ideas as to  what I want to do. But but then I went on Pinterest known as the mecca of inspiration and now I’m not sure what I want to do anymore.

So I’m sharing a few ideas with you, hoping that you can help me decide. My inspiration of course all have a common denominator and that is simplicity.

You know my motto, the simpler… the better!

The room with the hopscotch board is everything! I need that mini table set. Now I have to search for it stat. In my dream home, there is a beautiful playroom that keeps all the toys in order and out of every other part of the house! IN MY DREAMS.

I love the hopscotch idea but I like the design of the second photo more. They would all make great rooms for your girls though. Can’t wait to see what you pick!
