At the Betts residence, Love is a daily celebration. Hubby and I make it a point to celebrate each other regularly and we’ve extended that to our daughters. We shower them with kindness, loads of hugs and kisses and of course not a day goes by where we don’t say I love you at least five hundred times a day.

I pray that they continue to embrace our crazy displays of affection even during their teenage years.

Valentine’s day is around the corner, and I’ve teamed up with my friends over at Minted to give you ideas on how to make Valentine’s day last year round.

This year, instead of a box of chocolate or the standard gift, how about a little art.

Yes art… The gift that keeps on giving!

I was able to add finishing touches to the girl’s room by selecting some Valentine’s day inspired art from Minted’s amazing collections.

I like simplicity when it comes to decor, and was extremely happy to find lovely art to compliment my style and add that finishing touch to Neriah and Micah’s room. Yes they share a room ( more on that on another post).

For Riah, I went with Smudge Design’s Flamingo Road in the brushed silver frame and the Hugs and Kisses Heart ( which is made of real foil) framed in the whitewashed French Farmhouse finished wood.

For Micah’s side of the room, I kept it simple with Max and Bunny’s “LOVE YOU” (strawberry) framed in white.

I’m a huge fan of Minted because of the various options they offer, but most importantly, Minted is home to indie artists and gives us access to a slew of unique and beautiful art.

The girl’s and I love the simple touches these sweet pictures added to the room and a complete reveal will be shared in another post.

I hope this has inspired you to make Valentine’s day a year round celebration in your home. If so how about gifting a little art this year?

Worried about shipping delays? Fret not, Minted’s got you covered see how here!

Until next time!

I had this plan to use mostly whites and grays and light shades of blue/aqua for my daughter’s wardrobe (at least until she starts eating solids and splashing food all over), and for her living space. And I did. However after the poop blow-outs she’s been having by this 4th month of her life… Wheeeeeeww! We’re moving in a few months, and I’m debating whether to keep the grey and white theme going. Please tell me how you do it. :-D Char, look at you and your “pinterestable” home decor. My -s-hero.

OMG !!!! Glory be to God!
I am so happy to read this ah-ma-zing news! Gosh I’m so happy for you Linda! Please tell me her middle name is “Assaba” hahahahah
Can you please email me your new home address so I can send some goodies your way. You’ve always been so good to Riah and Micah and it is now my turn to do the same to you.
You know what’s funny?! The Lord had recently placed you on my mind. I was thinking where is my sweet Linda? Love you much and kisses and hugs to the new addition.

We are the same way with our kids. I figure if we got everything wrong they could never say they weren’t loved. My son is 10 and he still holds my hand and let’s me snuggle him!

These are beautiful selections. I had no idea Minted offered these things. We are doing a gallery wall in the hallway I need to check them out.
