ice pops

On a quest to lead a healthier lifestyle and to satisfy my daughter’s sweet cravings I decided to give these coconut water ice pops a try and the results were… delicious!

I’ve been on this coconut water kick thanks to my husband ( the healthy one)  who advised me to use it in my smoothies as opposed to fruit juices ( which contain loads of sugar). Not only do my smoothies taste better, the health benefits derived from C water are endless! For instance it’s low in calories, fat and cholesterol free ( can I get an AMEN) it is extremely hydrating aaaaaaaand contains more potassium than 4 ( yeah you read that right ) FOUR bananas! Listen!!!!!! No wonder it’s been dubbed  Mother Nature’s sport drink!

If you don’t already, may I suggest you give coconut water a try, and if you haven’t I have an idea as to how you could start.

Try the delectable recipe below, it took no time to make and they were extremely refreshing; plus they’re a healthy way for kids to stay hydrated during hot  summer days!

You will need:

I recently bought a pineapple cutter at my local fruit and vegetable store and I would like to give the genius who invented it a shout out ( whoever she is).

Ladies and gents, your girl was afraid of buying pineapple because I didn’t want to deal with the headache of cutting them. I’m no longer a slave to canned or pre-cut pineapple, I’s free y’all… I’s free!

Pineapple cutter inventor, you “da real MVP”!

pop5look at the slices… Y’all see that straw in the pineapple… y’all know I was sippin’ that juice right?!

It’s that easy!

Let me know if you’ve tried these before and/or drop some recipes I should try that include coco. water!

Until next time!

p.s. feel free to use any fruit *in my black sheep voice* “the choice is yours”

These look so good! My daughter will love making these. I’m not a big fan of coconut water but maybe the other fruit changes the taste a bit… Or maybe I could use pineapple juice?

I’m watching my sugar as well. I will have to try the coconut water as I am trying to get away from Gatorade. This is super easy. Kiddos and I will be giving this a try.
