toddler room ideas

The Animal Print Shop by Sharon Montrose

We’re gearing up for some major changes at the Betts residence, and one of them is creating a new room for our little one.

I’ve been looking for major inspiration to create a cool, fun, age appropriate space where we can have tea parties, and she can have story time with her little friends and her best friend “Farina” the ballerina, yes, she came up with that name on her own.

So where does one go when in need of inspiration? You’ve guessed it… The mecca of all things inspirational… Pinterest.

I consider myself to be somewhat creative, but goodness, the folks on Pinterest are cut from a different cloth, I mean really … Who are these people? I’ve come to the conclusion that they must be the senseis of all things creative and beautiful. Part human, part genius.

I’ve got an idea as to what I want, it’s just a matter of execution… I know that I want light colors ( greys and whites), I like a bright room, fun wall art. I’m considering setting aside one of the walls for blackboard paint which will  allow her to chalk it up as much as her little heart desires.

Here’s what I’ve added to my board.
