As I close this year’s Mother’s Day features, I want to thank all you wonderful moms for participating and sharing your thoughts on motherhood with us.
When sending out the questions to the moms for the feature, I was asked by Sovanny if I was also going to answer the questions.
Below are my answers.
about the blog
I launched MNH January of 2013 and the reason behind its inception was primarily my daughter. It’s no secret that I enjoy fashion and having a little girl was an opportunity to document my experience as a new mom and also to let new moms know that there is a cool side to being a parent. It’s all about redefining motherhood.
on blogging, running a business, being a wife and mother and working a full time job.
I’m passionate about being a wife and a mother. I enjoy blogging and really like what I do over at Preface Agency. It takes a lot of work and resilience especially in the areas of running your own business while working a full time job. It’s tough, really tough, but determination drives me. I get that from my mother. That lady is superwoman. She never quits, and she’s unbelievable. Her work ethic is a force to be reckoned with. So each time I don’t feel like doing something I think of her and then I think of Neriah. I want her to see in me what I see in my mother. I come from a lineage of great women who have thought me to not only find strength in myself but in God. So every time I feel like “giving up” or I want to choose sleep over Preface I whisper Phil 4:13.
I have a great support system and wonderful people who encourage me to strive. Family members, friends and of course readers like you who make me want to continue blogging.
Being a mom has inspired me to…
To be a better me. I want to lead by example. More often than not, kids are a product of their environment. So I set a positive one, filled with Love, patience, lots of kisses and dancing around to this song . Neriah has some pretty swift dance moves.
photobombed by Neriah – lookin’ like she’s about to part the red sea with that staff
This Mother’s Day I look forward to…
getting lots of kisses from Neriah enjoying time with my family and sleeping in?
Sleeping in? Yeah right that never happens! I’m an early bird… You know what they say about early birds… They get the worm!
Until next time.
