As you may (or may not) know the topics mainly discussed on this blog are style as it relates to me and my daughter, food and the occasional product review. From time to time I will take the focus off of Neriah and I to share with you some of my favorite things/people and among those are fellow bloggers/ moms.
Last year, I started a week long Mother’s Day feature where different moms headlined the blog daily for the whole week, and this year is no different.
I’m kicking things off with the curator of Baby Shopaholic. She really needs no introduction. She’s been bringing mommy blogging goodness to us all for quite some time, but for those of you unfamiliar with her site, allow me to introduce you to Trina.
Below she dishes out on blogging, motherhood and life as she knows it.
Blog: Baby Shopaholic
Tell us about your blog, what its about and the reason behind its inception.
I’ve always been a fashion obsessed shopaholic. When I found out I was pregnant with a girl, I went into overdrive buying everything for her. I was dressing my newborn up in fabulous outfits and I would text pictures to friends and family daily. Then I discovered “blogs” and I thought I should start one and share my daughter’s outfits and other fabulous things for fashion moms.
What are some of the challenges behind running a business/blog and being a wife/mom?
The challenge for me is time. I need 5 of me. I try my best to stay organized and do the best that I can.
When did you decide to start blogging?
I started the blog when my daughter was about 6 months old. I thought starting a blog would be a great place to inspire other moms that love fashion for themselves and their kids. My blog gives me an outlet to talk about what I love, my baby and fashion.
Being a mom has inspired you to…
Being a mom has inspired me to want to be a better person. Not that I was a bad person but just making sure that I’m a positive role model in all aspects for my daughter. Something as simple as helping someone out, saying nice things and encouraging others.
What are you looking forward to this Mother’s Day?
What I look forward to this Mother’s Day is having a relaxing day, eating and hanging out with my husband and daughter.
