It’s been such a fun week.
I had a great time featuring fantastic mothers these last few days and I kind of wish that the week wouldn’t end.
All these wonderful women, doing wonderful things… So inspiring.
The sad part is I hardly scratched the surface. There are so many more fierce moms out there that I didn’t get to share with you. But do not be dismayed buttercups, I am working on a few things, and hopefully I will be able to share more mamas with you in the coming months.
So to conclude the last few days, I felt that it would only be right to also get interviewed to give you an idea as to what motherhood means to me.
And no… I did not interview myself ;)
I called on my dear friend Jonnita Condra who is the Editor of YSMAGLIVE.COM to help me out and she gladly obliged… Below is what ensued.
Name: Charlotte (Bruce) Betts
Location: Chicago by way of Ottawa, Ontario Canada
Occupation: Owner of Preface Agency, Creator of District312 and Blogger
Mother of : Neriah
JC- You wear several hats. You’re a wife, a mommy, a blogger, a business owner and creator or DISTRICT312 where do you get your strength?
ME– Its’ no secret that I’m a woman of faith, and I attribute all of my ability to do many things to God. However I’m no super mom lol. Matter of fact I wish I was napping right now. Apart from getting strength through my faith, my ammunition also comes from knowing that I can do all the things that I’m currently doing and still be a mom to my daughter and a wife to my husband. Plus when you believe in your capabilities and your gifts, that should be enough strength to keep things moving. I’m having my cake and eating it too ;)
JC- What is one thing you’ve learned from being a mom?
ME- I learn new things every day with my little one, she really makes me look at life differently. If I had to pick one thing I would say patience. Oh how I’ve learned to be patient.
JC – Watching your daughter grow up, what do you most want to pass on to her?
Me – There are many things that I want for my daughter, and I think that the only thing that is in my power to instill in her is to teach her in the way in which she should go and the rest will fall into place.
Happy Mother’s Day to all of you!
Until next time ;)
